Neumayer-Channel

The Neumayer-Channel is a short ocean channel between to adjacent islands near the western coast of the
antarctic mainland. These two islands, Wiencke and Anvers, are separated by a narrow stretch ocean channel.
Arguably, the Neumayer Channel has one of the most spectacular scenic views in any antarctic adventure, and
most ships will cruise its waters and frequently make a stop at Port Lockroy, in Wiencke Island, where a restored
scientific station (currently operates as a museum for visitors) remains opens few months a year and also is
home of a large gentoo penguin colony, as well as blue-eyed cormorants
