Paul correctly guessed our next stop. In Highlands we took a right on Hwy 28 and headed down to the Blue Valley. This is a beautiful section of the Nantahala National Forest that gets very little use from what I've seen. There are quite a few free drive up camp sites (no facilities) and this really nice waterfall. It's best seen after a heavy rain, but the bluff area is rather cool at any time. It's a very easy hike and just as I figured, there was no one else around.
