The first natural feature on the trail is Arch Rock at 1.4 miles, but it was still foggy when I got there, so I saved shooting for the way back. Farther up the trail I figured I was at an area with views because the trail fell off on the left side and there was a lot of white in front of me. Pictured here is Alum Cave at 2.3 miles from the parking area. It isn't really a cave, but is a rock house or bluff area. This is very cool and is supposed to have some great views. I had thought about continuing up to the lodge just to give it time to clear, but decided to just hang around here and wait for it to clear.
