From here we messed around a bit, then headed back to the parking area. This area is definitely worth several more revisits, especially during the spring wildflower bloom. Jack later sent me a link to his gallery from a mid April hike in the area and the blooming action really picks up. Thanks for the great suggestion, JC! That was a great way to spend the first day of Spring.
