I was born and raised in Jackson County NC., yes I'm very familiar with Bonas' Defeat. As a youngster I played in the Tuckaseegee River, walked the old railroad tracks and trestle all the way to Bonas' Defeat got down on my tummy, held onto small trees just so that I could look over the edge to see the river. What beautiful memories I have of that beautiful area.
