The Rijksmuseum is the national museum of the Netherlands with a massive collection of 8,000 objects across 80 rooms. The monumental 19th-century building was designed by Pierre Cuypers, the same architect behind the Amsterdam Centraal Station, and opened in 1885. It blends Neo-Gothic and Renaissance styles, featuring intricate brickwork, vaulted ceilings, and a central tunnel that allows cyclists to ride through the heart of the building.
