The room at the corner of the second floor was the living quarters for the C.O.(Commanding Officer). The window to my room was the second from the corner, next to that of the CO. I could look out at the Izembek Lagoon and Amak Island from that window. A waveguide running to the height-finder antenna ran down the building just outside of my room. The small personnel doorway next to the overhead doors was the main entrance to the building. The building was looking a little ragged, but was scheduled to be repainted in 1971.
