Most Canadians are aware of the news story of the Queen Victoria statue being toppled (with the head then removed and tossed into the River) at the Manitoba legislature on July 1st - Canada Day.
For the un-aware - a couple of news feeds: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/queen-victoria-statue-winnipeg-1.6087684 https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-57693683

A lot of complex issues at play here - but name one country that doesn't have them.
I have my opinions on all this - but PBase is not the place.

Very shocking that anarchy rules, especially on your national day. Your shot highlights that rift.

Didn't hear a thing about it here in the states...

a brilliant look at a fraught situation...the frustrations are easy to understand, but the reactions are questionable...not sure if they really move us forward as a society, or does the opposite and deepens the divide..

Very cool idea to show it this way half in negative. Great comp as well. ~BV~
