As the ancients gather around Stonehenge and other 'astronomical' structures to celebrate the arrival of summer today (or winter for the 'other top of the globe' folks), I too watched sun rise over Car Henge (albeit in August)....Welcome Summer!

Almost looks like the real thing and with the sun coming through one can imagine modern day druids, perhaps in their cars, coming to worship. V

I think this image shows the essence of the whole thing even if not shot during the actual solstice. I have always thought it would be fun to go there at the exact right time but I am sure it would be a zoo, even compared to when we went and the town was full of bikers headed to ( or maybe returning from) Sturgis. Great all encompassing shot. ~BV~
