Palmer AK

North America's northern-most 'woodie' grain elevator.

A vator had to be my first posting from being settled in this new landscape.

I love those now isolated and almost forgotten silos for their historic value...an excellent start to this fine gallery.

Interesting POV and great background. For some reason, I never think of Alaska as having elevators. Thanks for remedying that misconception on my part. ~V~

I never would have thought Alaska would have any grain elevators. Is there enough of a growing season to grow grain there or is storage for imported grain?
