Trinidad Cobblestone Street

Trinidad, Cuba

Trinidad was established by the Spaniards in 1514 as one of the seven original settlements in Cuba.
It is now a World Heritage site, and a virtual museum of the Spanish Colonial style of architecture.
It is located on the south coast in Sancti Spiritus province about 200 miles from Havana.
It is sited between the Escambury Mountains and the Caribbean Sea.
Nearby is the Valley of the Sugar Mills, where at one time more than 70 sugar mills were in operation.
The colorful buildings and cobblestone streets make Trinidad a very interesting and attractive place to visit.
