Union Pacific Heritage Engine 1995 passes under the Burlington, Northern, & Santa Fe Bridge at Acker Road west of Union Grove. Horns are blasting as I push the shutter release and capture this picture. Exactly 2 hours and 1 minute have elapsed sense I first saw the Chicago & Northwestern Heritage unit in Flagg Station. I didn’t honestly think I would catch the train before it got to the crew change point in Clinton, Iowa. As I headed west down route 30 I noticed that the train had slowed to a crawl before reaching the route 84 crossing. Seeing an Opportunity I took a left turn upon leaving the bridge and head for the Mississippi River Dike. Parking my truck I hurried along the path hopping to snap a picture of the engine leaving the Mississippi River Bridge.
