Taken moments after the previous photo, the C&NW engine roars past my location in Dixon. Thinking ahead I wonder if I can get ahead of it before Nelson... a shot at the coaling tower would be nice... But I would Have to Hurry.
The train had to stop at Harmon Road and wait for a coal train to be tied down at Nelson. When the C&NW engine finally rolled under the coaling tower the view was blocked by the coal train.
I knew that there would be no chance of catching the engine in Sterling. I would just have to follow and see what opportunities presented themselves. I was hopping to catch back up before Acker Road West of Morrison. The Train was slowed at Yager Road east of Morrison because of a broken rail. This gave me enought time to get in front again and snap a photo from the Feldman Road crossing east of Morrison... See Next Photo...
