Body Image Fears At The Gym Showers
My first encounter with social nudity and being unclothed in a public setting was a lot less extreme than I 'd have initially thought. I had been dreading this day for all my life. The day when I would need to undress to be able to shower naked in my own physical education class.
When the awful day finally arrived I was really surprised to realize that other men were unsure about the encounter as well. The truth is, some guys decided to just avoid showering entirely. As I first started walking out of the lockers, I felt as if all the eyes were on me and I could feel my heart pounding and my legs shaking. I kept my eyes off of other folks and proceeded to head to the shower. The whole time I focused just on my showering and attempted to ignore the fact that other nude men were showering with me.

I was even able to encourage one of my buddies who was afraid of showering nude in front of other folks that it was not so awful. Eventually it got to a point where showering nude was no longer an issue whatsoever. I accepted the fact that everyone is naturally nude and that people come in all sizes and shapes. I recognized that we shouldn't have these man-made impositions of being naked in front of other folks be such a big deal. I understood that my body image problems and anxiety of being naked was simply a fear that I had to get past.

Now that I can shower naked comfortably in a public setting, I no longer feel a sense of being uneasy when I 'm nude. Becoming past my fear of being naked is one of the best things that I could have perhaps done for my self esteem. I was even able to play on sports teams as well, something I 'd formerly feared due to the fact that I may have had to shower nude with my teammates.
I am confident that many young lads share the same fears. The only piece of advise I will give is that, at the end of the day, no one really cares. But with that said, almost each and every individual in the world wishes they could change something about the way in which they seem.
Nudism, I feel, is a significant movement. Not for seeing others nude but rather to teach us that accepting others is one of best things we can do. I really feel that if more folks were receptive to attempting nudism the world would really be much better off!
