I had seen this wooded area on a bluff overlooking the I-205 freeway in eastern Portland, so I decided to look at a map to see what might be there. What I found was a stretch of woods along the edge of the butte designated a State Park, meaning no development. It was, interestingly, right along the huge beautiful properties held by The Grotto, a Catholic establishment with public park access to the grounds, and the Portland Bible College, a newer place but with primp property on the the Butte.
Well I decided to go there, and of course it started to rain lightly as I finished loading up and continued to drizzle until I got home, but I got out and explored a bit in the drizzle and took some pictures.
