Gairnsheil Lodge

One cold and frosty morning.
I am not certain about the front most fence post, partly because is isn't well focused and partly because it is central and dominates the image - note to self bring a saw next time!

Canon EOS 5D Mark II
1/60s f/18.0 at 70.0mm iso320 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Very good! All aim toward the old house and the fact that the fence is shadowed does not stop the eyes to run along.... Bravo!! V

I like the comp well, as it gives scale. You see so well!!! V

The post may not please you, but the diagonal in the wire counters well with the diagonal of the hill line and lovely light in the middle

Superb scene Chris ... The composition is strong and the foreground detail wonderful!

Superb wintery scene, I find the post totally in-a-fence-ive.

agree just the stone wall may have been more attractive, yet the frosted fence was there and you made good use of it...a crisp and soul-stirring scene...V

Fantastic image. It looks so cold and remote and yet looks like a great place to live.

Great wintery mood in this, and I like the light cast by the rising sun.
