Posted - Lochnagar in the distance

The first time for about eight weeks I have been out on a dedicated photo trip, and I have to thank Nigel Corby (see http://www.pbase.com/nrcorby) for the location. I always admire the way he takes pictures in Upper Deeside from original locations. So after instructions from Nigel I set off, a bit later than I intended so suffered some bright sunlight, all the same after a sharp frost I was rewarded with some great vistas. Thank Nigel.

Nice visual contrast with the upright foreground elements and the horizontals of the hills and mountains in the background...good stuff Chris!

Super atmosphere and framing Chris, love that skein of mist hanging over Lochnagar :)

The composition works well. An interesting foreground providing a contrast between the pastoral down here and the high hill beyond.
