Davidson Windmill

Lakeside, Wisconsin.

Davidson Windmill was built in 1900 by Finnish immigrant and homesteader, Jacob Davidson. It is the only grist mill in Wisconsin known to be of Finnish origin. It is sitting on a bluff over the Amnicon River and was used to mill locally grown grains for both humans and animals (living along the south shore of Lake Superior) from 1904-1926. It is built of native materials. It was placed on the Naitonal Register of Historic Sites in 1979.

lnteresting photo and story Cindy
and a severe test for any camera, being mainly white on a bright overcast day.

Now we are talking. I had been waiting to see product from the TLR for a while. Looks like she came back in nice order, Cindy. I am interested that the Tri-X held the details in the relatively bright (for the 400 speed) sky and the shadows here... Good light control.
Fascinating shot.
