Cindy, this is a great shot.
That IR G1 is fascinating me...Sherri may have to borrow MINE, although I need another camera like the Gulf needs another oil spill...

Hal, False color IR is a tricky business with my 715NM conversion. I'm not a big fan of false color, because it often looks garish. The problem is that you can shift colors, but they don't always shift in ways that are pleasing. You have to take it as it comes.

Pete, Leaves strongly refract near IR which is why they get a glow in IR photography. Water and deep blue sky absorb near IR, which makes them appear very dark. Leaves and grasses are not "hot" as in blown highlights.

Hi Cindy,
l must say that this is a most attractive photo. Very striking.
Also l really like it in color, which is actually limited to the roof.
lt makes the surrounding country look snow-covered.
Being in winter here and all rugged up against the cold air,
this looks particularly chilly and beautiful.

I thought for a moment we had gone back to winter.
So in IR vegetation is hot therefore white?
This makes the house a little sinister, but good work.
