Big Hole

Wisconsin

Fond du Lac means "Foot of the Lake". The Chamber of Commerce has taken to translating it as "First on the Lake". Locals call the harbor "The Big Hole". My G1 has been converted to Infrared. It was beautiful at the Big Hole today...windy and 80's.

wonderful IR shot. This totally rocks...it looks like the masts are moving the clouds into all different directions!

Excellent shot made by the dramatic sky and overall shape.

Thanks. Michael, Terry, Bob, Hal, Mohamed, Jim.

I have a converted IR camera (Panasonic G1). There is info on infrared conversions at Precisioncamera.com, if anyone is interested.

Hal, You are correct about rain coming. We had a nice soaking.

I've been here, but didn't get any shots that look this incredible! I love the medium you chose to capture this, it works perfectly. The sky is so very interesting and it accents the harbor quite nicely.

A most striking photo Cindy. At first l thought you had used HDR. Very lovely.
l think that sky means it's gonna rain.

Very striking IR effect here, Cindy. I like the way you kept the clouds in the composition... I would have been tempted to shoot it tighter, but that would not be nearly as interesting.

I love the effect. IR is really interesting. Makes me want
to play with it. Great photo!

Dramatic sky, great composition.
Wonderful day for IR, I can see.
This is beautiful work, Cindy.
Hal and I have messaged about your IR modified G1.
Still working on my bride to get one.
Maybe by the fall...
