nature's winter garden

All alone in an enchanted land
Where before me grandly stands
Crystal walls and glistening strands
In Nature's winter garden.

This secret beauty I have found
When morning sun came streaming down
A golden glow like a celestial crown
In Nature's winter garden.

Each way I turn I see such splendor
The muted sundial, a twig so slender
Such grandeur extending to every gender
Who visits Nature's winter garden.

Cascading ivy in a frozen shell
The birches bent in prayer as well
A wind chime tinkles as a bell
In Natures winter garden.

Such awesome silence surrounds me here
Though curious creatures from curtains sheer
Wonder at my presence near
In Nature's winter garden.

No cathedral by human hands
Though stately built and in reverence stands
Can match the beauty God's presence demands
In Nature's winter garden.

Nor could an artist ever capture
The magic found in this frozen stature
A frágil world so easily shattered
As Nature's winter garden.

To those whose hearts are filled with cares
And longs in spirit to know their share
Of peace and beauty, they must only dare
To visit Nature's winter garden.
