My dad (Charlie O'Connor) and granddad and almost all my male cousins/uncles worked here for most of their lives.
My granddad (Dennis Sheen DCM) didn't retire until he was 72. They don't make them like the old steelworkers of Ebbw Vale any more!
My hat is off to all those who passed through these great halls of metal!!

I now live in the USA but visit Ebbw every year to see the best people in the UK!!
