The Chair

Le Chalet Hotel, one of my favourite studio's
before it was torn down. There was always some-
thing to inspire me. And I believe that I have
documented the place well. This is just a small
selection of a great collection of images taken
here over the last few years.

Hasselblad 500c,80mm

Placement of the picture elements creates a tension that conveys the sad reality perfectly - very well done! V

Perfect in B&W...

Unreal! The vine breaking in through the window and the unoccupied "E-Z chair" definitely takes the image way over its thousand word value. I like the exposure here; it somehow adds to the isolation. g

I love items left behind in abandoned places.. there is such a sense of "waiting" here.. as if the chair believes someone will come back and it will become useful again. Your exposure is perfect

I am a sucker for 'abandoned' images and this one's a beauty, a very plaintive beauty.

Very fine image, Kees. The composition is very emotive. Very lonely. Nice to see your stuff here. Regards - CL
