Upopa epops! - September 2nd

Or, more commonly known as the Eurasian Hoopoe - but what a lovely scientific name.
A pair of these are regular visitors to our garden and I've been wanting to get a a shot of them for a while, but they are very shy.
Today was my lucky day.

Bahrain's weather today: Max: 42°C/Min: 30°C Max Humidity 85% Virtually nil wind. Max Apparent Temp: 46°C

Wow great shot. I had one of these in my garden (in England!!), but my shot is nowhere near as neat as this one.

rewarding capture...!! so your long wait finally paid off... i would have prefered the photographic rule of thirds to make it a bit more interesting ( unless we are highlighting repeat patterns)
cheers
