The 398th.Bomb Group Memorial Window

St.George's church,Anstey."The three lights(WINDOWS)show the pillar of smoke,the parting of the Red Sea and the aircraft descending from the shock and violence of battle,out of the pillar of fire.The golden butterflies reveal a representation of the cross.The wings of the butterflies are inscribed with the badges of the four squadrons and the names of all those who lost their lives flying from Station 131 Nuthampstead 1944-45".
Dedicated by the Bishop of St.Albans and unveiled by HRH The Duke of Gloucester,11th June 2000.
