Cahaba Lily (Hymenocallis coronaria)

Cahaba River (Central Alabama)

From early May to late June, the shoals of the Cahaba River are transformed into a showcase of floral delight as the rare Cahaba Lily blooms. Found only in Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina; the Cahaba Lily requires swift current and direct sunlight to flourish.

Sorry for the latee reply.

I was not using the soft focus feature of the lens for this shot. Other than a few test shots, I have never used it. The picture was made at f3.5 1/4000. I would still consider this lens one of the best bargains available from the Canon lens lineup. The color and bokeh amaze me each time I use it.

I don’t think you will be disappointed if you do/have bought it!
