This is the first in a series of works which I have titled mixed messages. It is about the subject of 'Art begets Art' and the fact that artists stand on the shoulders of our rich artistic legacy. In this case I have takem the outline of Damien Hirst's shark (the physical impossibility of death in the mind of one living) and Paulo Uccello's Battle of San Romano in the National Gallery. The image was created using Tri-Art Cyan Magenta and Yellow Acrylic plus white - the CMY of CMYK as used in inkjet and other printers. This gives the colours their coherence.
