This is the first time we've seen this variety of sparrow. He is cute to watch as he dances back and forth scratching up bugs with his feet. He is one of our larger sparrows - length ~ 7" and wingspan ~ 10.5"
He is just passing through as he summers in northern Canada and 'winters' in the south eastern US.
