Funny kind of weather today,
the mist hung around in the valleys all day long,
yet most of the town was sunny.

Misty and mellowy! It makes a change from the usual type of shot with these harvest rolls as they bask in sunshine.

Agree with Mairead, this is a lovely early winter scene. I like the limited colour in this shot, Stewart, as well as the simplicity of the composition and the unclutteredness of the scene. The misty background and the birds in the tree bring that certain 'finishing' touch to it too, well spotted. V

This is a beautiful scene hinting at the approach of winter. Think the birds in the bare trees really make it.
