Wanda "Mother Natures Winter Sleep" 11_12_07.jpg

There is something kind of funny that often happens when taking a picture like this. No matter how hard you try to find a spot away from people they almost always show up. We went up the nearby canyon, found a secluded area and then hiked a little. We found just the spot where the light and setup would work. Not a soul could be seen or heard. We setup and still nobody.

Wanda got undressed. I moved her clothing out of the frame. She assumed the pose I wanted and I snapped exactly two photos and here they come. Wanda and I scrambled for her clothing. She ducked and I cussed as the last light faded.

(this portion of text posted by Wanda: Bill failed to mention that it was only in the 30's and I was freezing My butt off! Thank heavens some people showed up, forcing him to end the session, otherwise I would have surely froze to death waiting for him to get the perfect shot! I hurried into My sweater and just parked on the ground for a moment, waiting to see if the interlopers were going to come hiking right up the trail to where we were. I wasn't completely dressed, but at least I was covered. )

Oh well it happens.

Just a walk in the park Kazanski?
If I knew mother nature looked like this I'll be D**ed if I would ever leave the woods!
Nice touch, my compliments to the Model and the Photographer.
Once again you have shown, taste, class, and a keen eye will always win in the end.

OUTSTANDING WORK!

Awesome pic! Lighting is perfect. Wanda you are a heck of a partner (and sport)! I am sure my wife would have been calling the doc to have my head exammed had I suggested such a pose and in those conditions... :)~ Jv

30 degrees? I'll have to get my magnifying glass out to look for goosebumps! And John, only a 2 mile radius? I'd be tempted to come from the East Coast!!!!!

Interesting comp; perhaps I'll get inspired & rake my leaves!

Very nicely done again Bill and Wanda. The tone and the light set the feeling perfectly. And Bill if you can talk her into being naked and on the ground in 30 degree temps you should be selling cars!

Great idea and looks like the light was perfect for this kind of photo. Thanks to both of you for sharing with us.

I was thinking this was perfect, it's a dream like scene, REALLY well done.

Sorry that people crashed your private party, how RUDE!

You're that damn good Bill, you only need two shots to get it right. And I'm sure Wanda was perfect on the first take. If I thought Wanda was naked within a two mile radius of me, I'd come looking too. =)

This reminds me a lot of the earlier Mother Nature series. Very nice.
