Wondering What Will Hurt the Most 07_29_06.jpg

Well I got the old bike out, put some new tubes and tires on it and had it tuned up ... what was I thinking? Today Wanda hauled my butt (dang it hurts) up the canyon for a short bicycle ride. My legs hurt, my fingers are sore, oh that little bicycle seat killed my butt and as the day goes on new things are getting sore.

I'm sure with some time it will get better or I'll die. I'm sure of it.

That's how I look if I even *thinki=* about doing that kind of rigorous bike-riding. LOL

Thankfully, the WO&D and C&O Canal bike paths in my area (Babylon-on-the-Potomac) are kinder and gentler. ;-)

You need a helmet with a National Geographic logo on it. You'll be more comfortable.

Very fun shot! Keep it up Bill, it only hurt for the first few weeks. I promise it will get easier. As a matter of fact I am on my out for a bike ride right now.
Bye,
Debbie

Now you have let her put your 20D down and given her your 5D to use.
You better be thinking of a new camera for yourself instead of bike parts
for her.........

Great shot. I can count every blade of grass in that sharp image!

It is better that you try to ride than not ride at all.
Keep pushing.

Love the pic! But don't you think there should be a thick white outline around your body? Maybe a few police standing around? :-)

I think I hear an ambulance!! I think it's the FASHION Police Bill!!! get up and run!! (cept those matching shorts and socks...well ummm......) yikes....

Good God man get some sun on those legs!I got Linda's bike out for her today.it's a matter of time before I assume the position you are in.To quote Slick Willie"I feel your pain"!Great shot Wanda and good job getting the "old guy" in shape.

Very smart and playful shot. And a smart move on your part too Bill. That is one amazing woman you are married to and it looks like you are making great strides to continually win her heart. You guys are the best. The first week is the hardest Bill. Pretty soon you will be riding with no hands and shooting eagles with your Canon!

My money is on you Bill. Keep riding and I will wager that you beat her next year! Or perhaps a little wager between the two of you. You get a new gun or lens to replace your sacrifice for her and if Wanda wins, she gets.....hmmmm......what would Wanda want? Any ideas?

Oh my gosh this is a cute picture...it will get better

Wait one minute, did I read sell a GUN and also sell one of of your LENS. You are making all of us look very bad as husbands. What is next, a pint of blood. The bleeding will never stop. You know Wanda is going to need a totally knew outfit to match that new bike. But!!! I just just thought about the Sunday morning, silky robe, windy moment and you are right. Go ahead, sell a couple of lens and a few guns. Keep her happy. :-)

I like the suttle curved line just above Bill's head. Showing Bills path right before he fell off the bike. Time to hit the showers and take some Vitamin I (Ibuprofen).
Eric Hewis29-Jul-2006 18:17
Thank God! It's only Bill.
Wm. Bates29-Jul-2006 18:13
If I sell a lens it will be the Canon EF 400mm f/5.6 L. It seems to never make it on my camera since I got the 300f/2.8L IS.

Bill: The Butt is the hardest thing to "acclimate" to the bike. Hang in there, don't over do it, and it won't be long before the little seat feels like a couch (if you have the right little seat--this may take a little experimentation) I highly recommend Terry's seats for men.

Wanda, make me an offer that I can't refuse and I will replace my aging 10D. Also I
need a 100-400 zoom.

Bless Bill's heart! He really pushed himself harder today than he should have. When I was telling him it was time to turn around, he went a bit futher! I'll give him a couple of days to recover before I torture him again. (mean lil smile) Oh, and speaking of that 100 mile ride I am planning for next year, Bill is going to sell one of his guns and one of his lenses so I can get My new bike frame all outfitted with some quality components. Then I can really kick some butt in next years tour de cure!

Happy Cycling everyone!

Wanda

Wanda, the best thing to do is just let him lay there. Trying to move him could become dangerous.
VerymarriedV 29-Jul-2006 17:13
You'd better keep working if you're going to keep up with Wanda on her 100 mile ride next year :-)
