Mazda North America was really super and sent us one of the two 2006 MX5 Miata Prototypes along with one of their top engineers to tell us all about the car. I really like the body style. I can't wait to get my hands on one for a little test drive.

Some guests gave the 2006 MX5 a real going over. The guy under the car, I think, is taking pictures of suspension parts

Mario, We call it perma-grin which is just a part of "Miatatude". Now of course we're going to expect you to attend "Miata's in Moab return of the MX5" in 2007.

Went for a Solstice but got a 2006 MX-5 instead. Better handling, better top, solid rep, ok I just love driving the car ever day. I can't wipe the grin off my face!

Well I finally picked up my '06 MX-5 today and let me tell you it's all I ever wished for ... and more. Oh, and I did remember to bring my Allman brothers cd to keep me company.

I heard from a gentleman who has had the good fortune to test drive a prototype while in Japan recently, he says it handles great! Guess it pays to be a dealer eh? You get to test drive the car before everyone else does! Zoom Zoom! Wanda

Well we can only hope it still drives like a Miata... I know I will be test driving one of these as soon as they are available. The Miata has always been the best bang for the buck two seater... Thanks for posting this... There are not many shots of these around. Radamo

Your right, I think I like this body style better than the rest. Very sporty, the new look really brings out the character of the car.
