Up, up on the roof

Tucson

After around 30 years my home is getting a new roof. There were no leaks but felt I was on borrowed time and would hate to have a leak when every else does during our upcoming monsoon season. Not very much fun being inside with all the banging, cutting and even the smell of tar coming in. Writing the check will be the least fun part of it... I pointed out where the hawk's nest is, plus if you look close enough you can see the male hawk on the telephone pole... Best viewed in the original...

A very busy scene. Perhaps the roofers should be wearing helmets. V

I'll be having to do the same thing pretty soon. Cool capture from that POV. (BTW, I really hate the smell of the tar they use. Almost makes me gag).

Excellent - good context for your situation.
Hope the bill is not too painful!!

I'm sure the hawks are keeping an eye on things. :) Love the composition and graphics. V

Talk about a birds eye view, Scott! A lot going on here. Hope that hawk doesn't swoop on the roofers! V

They are pretty close to his nest. I hope he does not attack them. Good luck with your new roof.We most likely will need a new one in about 10 years. I do not want to even think about the cost. V
