For this shot I used -1/3 EV exposure compensation and the F10 selected the usual 1/100s shutter speed, which turned out to be just about right to properly expose the background. Compared to the previous shot, it is much more true to the actual scene. Of course, the pictures where taken 5 minutes apart, and the sky was getting darker. So perhaps the exposure compensation had nothing to do with it.
