Soul's well.. info and the story

Malargue. Mendoza

We go now to south.. to Malargüe, at Mendoza's `province...This is a singular geomorphology formation named "dolina", at Los Andes. It is seen
as a big depression with mirrors of sweet water on the bottom.. true colours of turquoise water and red earth ...
300 meter diameter and 100 meter depth.. couldn’t show it better.. snow behind me, a fence in front..
But now, the interesting side.. :-)
It is called Pozo de las animas, Soul's well... some people says it is because the wind reaching the surroundings produces a special whistle..
but those who know more, told me the truth: many years ago, two rivals tribes began a quarrel..
those living in this place were running for their lives, as the others duplicate them in quantity...
A foggy night.. no moon to give light.. they ran.. and ran.. at a certain moment,
they heard just silence.. the shouts of their enemies had stopped, suddenly.
They didn't ask themselves why.. they went on running and finally took a rest .
The following day, they came back, and saw a big hole at earth.. a well had appeared,
and inside it, the enemies had fallen and died.. Mother Earth had helped and punished..
It wasn't windy when I was there, but I heard the voices.. just whispering about past glories...about wars.. about lost hopes.

Well done, Silvia.
Sometimes we must live with the imposed limitations.
You have produced a good image even though your feet were anchored.
