Fossbrekkur

Iceland

Here a small stream runs down a small slope (brekkur) en forms a number of small waterfalls (foss) therefor the nema Fossbrekka (waterfallslope). This stream rauns through a landscape
which is just sand and stones which have gatered together when the volcano Hekla has erupted. On this sand nothing is growing but then you suddenly come upon this place where there is plenty of vegitation. It´s like an oacis in the sand desert.

It's a very interesting sight. Thanks for posting it. Some of the Icelandic scenes are really sights you would never see anywhere near me. This one is incredible.
