Flames like dancing fairies. Never thought flames would look so good in b&w.

I saw something similar somewhere before...can't remember where, though. It was also a view through the frames in a temple. Anyway, your shot is great as well. Excellent placement of the face in the middle of the frame. Good work!

Ah, burnt offerings: somehow these ancient rituals of Life and Death seem more meaningful in this context. There is mystery in these simple gestures, and grandeur. And I am glad that some cultures are still able to contemplate the divine.

This is of course a little disturbing, but very interesting and well done, very original too.
I really love the presence of the flame on the foreground and the blurred couple in the background. Well seen, well composed.

Brilliant how you used black and white with an image of flame.

My first feeling was that this was a cremation -- and that the people in the background were mourners. If this context is valid, then this image would be particularly poignant because of its intimacy. If it is a religious offering, there would be less intimacy, but the body language of the people in soft focus is strong enough to tell us how they may be feeling. In any case, a thought provoking image, Kal.

Excellent image! The figures in the background appear to come out of the smoke... (it took me several looks to recognize the couple on the left)
