Just love her expression surrounded by ticking clocks and no customers. Classic. Vote.

Again the composition rocks ;) This one seems to have been taken decades ago... How come you have a time machine there and didn't tell anyone about it humm??

I think she is also lost in space.

very cool!

a Phoenix, indeed!;)

How shall I put this? The composition is utterly perfect. There's nothing you can add, and nothing you can leave out. Compositional balance is as perfect as it can get.
And then there's the whole story, which I don't have to repeat, as it's clearly described in the comments below. One of your finest, Kal. V.

Hard to add much more - brilliant image. Her experssion says everything.

I totally love the concept and execution of this shot.I sympathize with her.We are imprissoned in a time/state while all about is in a einsteinian relative blur. Our lives are capsulated and yet also a tumbling grain in some hourglass.Stunning! You rock serious Kal!

She may have five clocks ticking away behind her, but for her, time seems to stand still. As Jen says, she arranges trips she never takes, and while her life does not appear to be like a busy clock, it certainly seems as if it is an empty box.

A good photo! There is time and some inner movement!

I am guessing she is bored. Superb work. V

such a nice composition.. may be because of the clocks on the wall , but i feel like i am in an old movie when looking at this image, when they thought it was really cool to have the display of the time in all the "important" cities of the world.

It is always a pleasure for me to think back to Sanya. Wonderful capture.

Jennifer said everything... this is another great one...

Awesome composition, goes perfectly with the subject. I agree with AL, she looks bored (or angry?)
scott clarke23-Apr-2006 15:36
One of your best Kal, for me it's all about composition.

I love it, Kal! Just like AL said, it is truely a gift to be able to find a special moment in a such familiar place. Arranging trips that she never takes, her life is like a busy clock and an empty box..

I like the b&w on this. Nice contrasts.

Well, this really seems my desk...
Pbase creates the same problems!

Brilliant interpretation of such a familiar scene. Maybe she is hoping for time to travel faster? She looks bored... Great find!

would look like a throwback to the 1960's if the pc monitor wasnt there . gmv!

Awesome!I thought this was a wireless from the thumbnail with the clocks as tuning knobs. This could be a still from an asian b-movie.
