My father was at MAAG Guang Gung Technical Advisory Group (Tag) Center, Vietnam
from Nov 61 to May 62. Does anyone know where this was located and what may have happened there in April/May 1962? He was an E-7 on an 18 month assignment, but was transferred to the hospital at Clark Air Force Base, the Philippines on 14 May 62. He never returned to Vietnam, but forwarded back to San Antonio and Brooke General Hospital, MHC. He passed in 1985 without ever giving our family any idea of what had transpired.

My father served with Hq MAAG Vietnam from 12/1959 until 4/1962. Can anyone tell me if that unit was awarded any unit citations or special awards for this time period? Thank you.

I served under MAAG in 62/63 at a small compound near Bien Hoa. I was a Sgt E-5 . I remember Sgt Hill. I was there when Lt Train and Capt MacCarthy lost their life.
