Crawfishing and Crabbing in the Spillway

The water is still seeping through the needles of the Spillway but since all the locks were closed the water level has receded in most parts to allow fishermen and sportsmen easy access.
Notice the layers of sediment on the banks left by the River.
Near the locks where the water is seeping in from the River there are hundreds of egrets and herons and pelicans waiting for the fish coming out of the River. Very timely as the egrets and herons are feeding their young who are still in the nests in the rookeries.
