River Level Slowly Receding and Spillway Gets a Rest-May 11, 2008

Montz, Louisiana

Spillway on the left, River on the right.
With the River level dropping, water is barely seeping through the locks of the Spillway. Some of the recreational areas of the Spillway are already dry and people were out enjoying the beautiful weather on Mother's Day.

it concerns me when water levels drop to where land is visible where there should be water . . . I'd like a nice middle-of-the-road level . . .not too high & not not so low
I don't ask for much, do I
