"Seeping" Through the Locks - April 9, 2008

River on the left, Spillway on the right. The River has risen a foot since Sunday afternoon, three days ago.
The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers is pondering on opening the structure.

It is getting scary with the Mississippi rising all up and down ...and you guys are on the southern most end. Stay safe and hope they do the right thing!

We see Spillway Road is closed, that means you'll hae to go all the way to Airline to go south.

Interesting use of barbed wire! I can see those red cranes would make some great pictures another day! Hope the water doesn't rise too much more!
