A New Holy Cross with An Historical Design

Paris Avenue in New Orleans

Modeled after the original building on its old campus on Dauphine Street on the Mississippi River banks, Holy Cross has begun construction on its new campus on Paris Avenue in Gentilly, halfway between the River and Lake Pontchartrain.
The style of the building will blend in perfectly with the live oaks on the site (see previous photo) just as the buildings did on the Old Campus that was flooded following the levee breaks after Hurricane Katrina.

The new design is awsome. The students will miss that wind coming off the river though. I am glad that they are matching the old building.

Traditional design with modern technology eliminates drafty windows and other annoyances in old buildings. Hopefully, they stay true to the theme.
