The 115+ miles per hour winds of Katrina blew the moss from New Orleans as far away as Jackson, Mississippi and the trees were bare.
The moss is making a glorious comeback and our summer rains and humidity have encouraged further growth.
Coleen Perilloux Landry retains the international copyright not only for the original image but also for any versions of it.
