Historic Lighthouse--April 25, 2006

It is property of the U. S. Coast Guard and has served as a beacon for boaters coming into the Yatch Harbor for a century. It also is a sentimental icon for teenagers who went for moonlight visits to the Point.
Hopefully, someone has taken the top off to put it to good use. Perhaps it will be the focal point on the roof of the new Yatch Club. The old one, the second oldest Yatch Club in the U. S., burned to the ground during Katrina.

I passed there yesterday, and it looks like the house is getting closer to floating out in the lake everytime I see it.
