Spillway Gauge at 23 feet, the highest I've Ever Seen It

Bonnet Carre' Spillway

The boat club has water to its roof.
This is a recreational area in the Spillway that is very popular when the Spillway is dry.
I feel so sorry, too, for all the wildlife that has been displaced in the flood. Someone sent me a photo from Tunica where many deer are trying to crowd on to a porch with some in the water and some on the steps. Soooo sad.

Shame too for all the wildlife

What a mess but Mother Nature's in charge. I read an article today that said you can't tame the Mighty Mississippi. So sad for all the people, wildlife and lands effected by this event.

Ooo Coleen, that's high water! Is this nearer to the lake, we don't remember seeing it.

That's quite some flooding Coleen. Hope it recedes soon.
