Mr. Steve Wilson, on left, is president of the Pontchartrain Levee District which oversees the integrity of the levees in the parishes of St. James, St. John and St. Charles. With the River heights at historic proportions it is imperative that there be no leaks in the levees and that people and vehicles be kept off of them.
Dr. Christopher Brantley is year-round project manager of the Bonnet Carre' Spillway and oversees not only the structure itself but the recreational areas, sand-hauling and environmental and botanical and fisheries parts of the Spillway.
