Bonnet Carre' Spillway

Bonnet Carre' Spillway, Louisiana

According to the Spillway gauge, the River, on left, rose two feet in the past six days.
It is now almost 20 feet at the gauge. In 2008 the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers opened the locks of the Spillway when the gauge was at 22 feet.

Rime of the Ancient mariner

Water, water, every where,
And all the boards did shrink ;
Water, water, every where,
Nor any drop to drink.

A fascinating shot. Although it doesn't look like a safe place to stand and take pictures!
