For daylight photography I use Custom White Balance with the modded 20D + UV/IR Blocker pop-in filter. I had set the CWB when I first got the camera and have not bothered to reset it again. Seems to be very satisfactory most of the time. Minimal tweaking of WB is required. The above is a sunset view of a river at the back of Surfers Paradise. WB not tweaked.
