Nuttby Mountain

While many homes in the province were damaged or destroyed by Hurricane Juan; this lovely home wasn't even fazed. Built in 1898, it wants to be around for a few years yet.

My daughter worked as a Counsellor for Tim Horton's Camps in Tatamagouche some years ago. Accompanying a group of kids from other provinces to the Camp, she used to ask the bus driver to stop in front of the Old House and then would call out "Here we are, everyone out!" , to the greatest astonishment of the kids. Too bad it is gone!

Hello,
I drove by this amazing Crooked House near Nuttby Mountain while touring Nova Scotia in 2004. I have thought about it so many times since then and I would like to know if it is still standing. (I truly hope so.) If it is, someone should set up a web camera on it and we could check on it regularly!

Great shot Richard, I haven't shot the old place in the fall yet. I just love
that house & I was so very pleased to see it survived the Hurricane just fine.
